We are seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer with a robust understanding of all financial and controller functions, from risk management to strategic planning. The ideal candidate should be adept at both strategic oversight and operational execution. The right candidate will be a leader who can inspire confidence, drive efficiency, and champion the company's financial interests. This role requires not only expertise in finance but also the ability to think strategically and collaborate with other departments. This position will be based in our Regina or Saskatoon branch.

Reporting to the CEO, this individual's key accountabilities will include :

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining financial controls and guidelines
• Maximizing efficiencies through innovative process development
• Developing and enforcing internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Monitoring and ensuring accuracies for accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Overseeing all aspects of the company's financial management and accounting functions
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Hiring, training, supervising and retaining skilled accounting staff to maintain the general ledger; gather and post entries, reconcile and analyze accounts, prepare journal entries, perform month end reconciliation, and review inventory adjustments in the general ledger to ensure that on-hand quantities align with perpetual using the existing ERP
• Conducting regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
• Participating in strategic planning and provide financial guidance to senior management
