Job description

Accountabilities :

• Checks unverified laboratory results for accuracy prior to verification; investigates unexpected abnormal and / or spurious results according to laboratory policies, processes and / or procedures
• Performs operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory analyzers and equipment
• Monitors quality control results and responds appropriately to discordant results
• Ensures specimen collection, integrity, transport and storage is appropriate for sample processing and analysis
• Refers discordant findings to appropriate personnel for further follow-up
• Assists at bone marrow collections; check specimen for acceptability; processes in-house and send-out test requests
• Actively participates in the laboratory quality management system and process improvements
• Performs other procedures and duties as assigned

Hours : Nights, 8 hours, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY :

Minimum : $36.85 per hour

Maximum : $50.27 per hour
