As we continue to grow our national footprint, Catalys is seeking a National Account Manager who is strategic, results-driven, and skilled at building long-term partnerships. In this role, you will help expand our market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and support clients with tailored solutions that address their operational and technical challenges.

The National Sales Manager preferably based in Ontario, but open to candidates located anywhere in Canada

JOB SUMMARY

The National Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing key national accounts across Canada for Catalys. This role plays a critical part in expanding market presence, increasing revenue, and delivering technical and commercial value to customers in the industrial, automotive, and commercial sectors.

Acting as a strategic partner to our clients, the National Account Manager ensures that Catalys’ full portfolio of solutions—products, services, and technical expertise—is leveraged to support customer performance and long-term business objectives. The role requires strong analytical skills, commercial leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Manage a portfolio of national accounts within the industrial, commercial, and automotive sectors.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor strategic account plans that align with Catalys’ growth and profitability objectives.
  • Strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and ensure exceptional customer experience and long-term retention.

Sales Leadership, Negotiation & Business Development

  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and solution proposals in partnership with technical, operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across Catalys’ product lines to increase share of wallet.
  • Monitor customer performance, industry dynamics, and competitive intelligence to anticipate needs and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Retail Channel Development

  • Drive the expansion of Catalys’ retail presence by developing and managing relationships with major Canadian retailers.
  • Negotiate retail agreements, support merchandising and promotional initiatives, and optimize sell-through with consumer-focused strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution Excellence

  • Work collaboratively with marketing, supply chain, customer service, and technical service teams to ensure flawless execution and operational continuity.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, account reporting, and performance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Represent Catalys at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings when required.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; experience in industrial or technical environments is a strong asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing national or key accounts in a B2B setting (chemicals, lubricants, automotive, industrial, or related sectors preferred).
  • Experience managing retail accounts or CPG sales, ideally with major Canadian retailers; proven success negotiating with large retail chains.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, negotiate complex agreements, and build long-term client partnerships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent business acumen with a customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bilingual (French & English) preferred.
  • Ability to travel across Canada (15–25%).
