Canadian Tire CorporationOntario- Full-time
About the role
Dealer Mobility" is one of the key concepts in our organization as it provides each Owner / Operator (“Associate Dealer”) of our Canadian Tire Retail Stores, the opportunity to progress into different stores across the country according to their ability and desires. This is accomplished via the Dealer Changeover process. This process provides for the orderly and equitable sale of a Canadian Tire Store's inventory and assets, along with the transfer of the business operations, from the outgoing Associate Dealer to the incoming Associate Dealer. Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and impartiality is the cornerstone of the Changeover process throughout our network of stores.
The Dealer Changeover Consultant is responsible for planning and consulting on matters of the policy and procedures, ensuring that the entire Changeover process meets the highest standards of accuracy and fairness. The role ensures that all parties understand and accept their respective responsibilities. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our field team, requiring approximately 80% travel to support the Changeover process in our Canadian Tire Retail Stores across the country.
What you’ll do

Demonstrate a strong understanding of asset management and the ability to validate and ascertain the appropriate depreciation category.
Ensure the integrity of the inventory count by providing guidance to the store staff using procedures designed to produce the highest level of accuracy possible.
Provide coaching to ensure that both the Incoming Associate Dealer and Outgoing Associate Dealer, store staff, and designated third parties comply with the processes and practices as outlined in the Changeover Policy.
Develop a store-specific critical path (e.g., actions, people and timeline) for all aspects of the changeover process and work with others to actively problem solve.
Prepare financial documentation related to assets to inform the transaction and finalization process.
Work collaboratively to continuously identify and implement process improvements required to increase efficiency, consistency, accuracy, and quality of work.
What you bring
Ability to travel throughout the country on a weekly / bi-weekly basis, for a maximum of 40 weeks per year. Candidates can live anywhere in Canada, as long as they live in close proximity to a major airport.
Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field of study is an asset.
Strong preference for candidates with 3+ years of retail management experience. Canadian Tire store experience is an asset.
