ROLE OVERVIEW Under the supervision of the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Director of Business Development is responsible for driving sales growth across Canada and international markets. This role involves developing strategies to strengthen the company's presence in existing markets and expand into new ones, with a focus on major clients in the food industry. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives. Identify and pursue new market opportunities domestically and internationally. Establish and maintain strong relationships with major clients, distributors, and strategic partners. Research, evaluate, and establish partnerships with international brokers to enhance the company's presence in overseas markets. Collaborate with internal teams (production, marketing, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Participate in trade shows, industry events, and other relevant activities to promote the company's products. Monitor market trends and conduct competitive analysis to adapt business offerings accordingly. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Agri-food, or a related field. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, with significant international exposure. Extensive knowledge of the food industry, particularly in meat or poultry products.
