Job descriptionAbility to work collaboratively on large complex projects. Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation. Working knowledge of software including Autodesk and Bentley products (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Working knowledge of basic engineering calculations. Effective time management, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing requirements. Experience importing and processing survey and drone data is an asset. Primary Location : Canada | NB | Fredericton Pay Range : PEI locations – min USD 59,600; max USD 86,500 (subject to location and qualifications) Pay Transparency : Final compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. Overview
CAD Technologist / Civil Designer - Mining or Water at Stantec. Build the foundation for a successful career in geotechnical engineering with a great team. We work in the office, on site, and in the lab on projects large and small, in diverse environments.
Join our team to guide clients from conceptual design through construction and help transform ideas into fully fledged designs.
Your Responsibilities
- Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD / BIM platforms.
- Works closely with engineers and senior designers on assigned projects.
- Supports Project Managers in preparing submittals for clients, governmental and permitting agencies for reviews and approvals.
- Performs thorough QA / QC of models and sheet files for standards compliance and coordination, ensuring comments are addressed.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
- Experience with Muck 3D would be an asset.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Education and Experience
Diploma / certificate in a related program with a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Field work may involve exposure to the elements.
