Business Analyst - intermediate role (Contract Position)Number of Positions : 1 Duration : 12 monthsLocation : Guelph, ON, CAMust be eligible to work in CanadaHybrid role, 2d / w onsite in Guelph ON mandatory 7hr / d billingThe client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) for a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software implementation of an Animal Use Protocol (AUP) system. Note that experience in "Animal use Protocol" systems is not an expectation.The ideal candidate should have BA experience in enterprise applications, system integration, and data migration documentation.Roles and responsibilities : The selected Business Analyst will play a key role in the implementation by :

• Working closely with the vendor’s resources to learn and understand system capabilities
• Engaging with the business team to understand their workflow needs / priorities
• Leading documentation efforts, including : o Future-state process narratives and workflowso System integration requirementso Data migration documentationCollaborating with
• Animal Care Services team in workshops, 1-on-1 meetings
• Vendor’s resource on shared analytical / product configuration tasks
• Quality Assurance Lead and Developer throughout the project
• Change Management Lead and Project Manager on strategies, risk identification and mitigation
• The project will follow an agile / hybrid framework, with a mix of on-site (2-3 days per week) and remote workCandidates with a background in Higher Education or the Medical field are preferred. The candidate should have a collaborative approach and the ability to organize and manage workshops. Initially, there will be more in-office work, but as the months progress, remote work will be an option. The two days in-office requirement is not mandatory during the first few months.Key Deliverables

• Lead role in defining the requirements gathering and documentation approaches best suitedbased on the project scope / deliverables / timelines
• Working with a highly configurable vendor product, role-based access control
• Writing a lot of documentation with high accuracy and precision; organizing efficientdocumentation review cycles with the business unit
• Data migration planning, documentation and execution (system-to-system)Highly desired skills :
• Using Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of the research administration lifecycle (i.e. grants / awards, ethics, compliance,research finance)
