Our Director of Business Operations

Sivummut Solutions is excited to announce a new opportunity to lead our organization’s operations and team of over thirty high-performing professionals. Reporting to the President, this dynamic and visionary Director of Business Operations role will directly support shaping the future of our operational strategy. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to mold the role as their own and, with the support of our team, make a lasting, positive difference for the future of our organization, the communities we support, and the clients we serve. As the Director of Business Operations, you will be a key thought leader within the company, responsible for driving innovative solutions, optimizing processes, and improving overall effectiveness and efficiency across our operations. We are seeking a leading professional who can bring fresh, creative ideas to the table and challenge the current structures with a forward-thinking mindset.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to implement new ways of doing that result in streamlined operations, enhanced performance, and measurable results. Key Responsibilities

  • Planning strategically to optimize performance.
  • Creating operational strategies and implementing efficient workflows and systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Creating and managing budgets.
  • Financial management, including planning, analysis, monitoring, and controlling financial resources.
  • Fostering strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and supervising staff, project management, and support.
  • Developing and managing business efficiency tools.
  • Supporting file management, logistics, and other administrative responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Financial Management and Financial Statements.
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Research.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies.
  • Proficiency in communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with modern office technologies, including effective working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and associated suite of products.
  • Expertise in leading change within organizations (such as adopting new software solutions).
  • Skilled in time management, project execution, and delivering high-quality results with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Competency in creating, interpreting, and implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Seven years of experience in operations, management, or a similar role where responsibilities include overseeing business functions, optimizing processes, and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Progressive experience in leadership roles that build competencies in strategic planning, decision making, and team management.
  • Experience supervising staff or mentoring and coaching others.
  • An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Criminal Records Check with results acceptable to Sivummut Solutions is required.
  • Assets

  • Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, and, and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit.
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges and needs of Indigenous communities.
  • Experience working remotely with remote teams and / or in hybrid working models.
  • Extensive supervisory experience in a cross-cultural setting.
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration.
  • Financial background.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence software, data analytics, and custom software solutions.
  • Experience in the consulting industry and having worked in the public sector.
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations.
