What you will be doing
Environment, Health and Safety

Key Responsibilities
Drive sales of Underground Drills Business by bringing the best of Sandvik’s offering to meet customer needs and achieving Division profitability targets.
Responsible for Business Line - Underground Drills P&L within the Sales Area and aligns with the global Divisions financial targets.
Identify and develop sales plans and objectives for the Business Line – Underground Drills customer base, inclusive of accurate forecasting.
Develop and enhance the overall relationship with key customers, leading to constructive and profitable business partnerships. This will require some involvement with the compilation of tenders and long-term contracts, and may also include working with Service team to ensure customer ‘technical’ issues are resolved.
Growing revenue and profitability through direct personal customer management to key corporate accounts in the Sales Area.
Actively search for new ways to promote the full Sandvik product range to all customers within the scope of the Sales Area.
Increase development focus for the aftermarket solutions offering.
Managing resources to ensure that the delivery of internal and customer projects is on-time and within budget.
Coordinate and review forecasting completed by the Account Management and Business Line Management teams, to ensure that stock levels and product specifications meet the needs of the regional customer base.
Strategic planning to ensure business development for the Underground Drills equipment and / or product range, specific to the Sales Area.
Keeping up-to-date with competitor products and marketing.
Ensuring the successful integration process of any new Sandvik and Business Area strategies, and any other Global or Regional initiatives.
Develop new market opportunities for the Sales Area.
Actively participate in the Sales Area Management team, with clear objective of ensuring effective implementation of the Global Sandvik Strategy and contributing to ensure the Sales Area meets its business commitments.
Work cooperatively and in collaboration with other Sales Area Business Line teams, or Departments.
Maintain a team-working environment through all levels of management.
Working cooperatively and in collaboration with Account Management team to identify and pursue customer sales opportunities.
Create customer value propositions for the local market to proactively create opportunities for Sandvik.
Manage AR / cash collection per contract terms.
Identify, analyze and drive the resolution of customer issues.
Ensure balance of NWC verses sales opportunity.
Hiring, mentoring, motivating, training, evaluating and leading team members to ensure that the goals and objectives of the businesses are accomplished.
Working with the Customer Account & Applications Manager and the Account Management Team to grow the Underground Drills business, and to accurately forecast the levels of stock required.
Managing all relevant resources in the Sales Area to ensure an optimum balance between a high level of customer service satisfaction and the attainment of financial objectives.
Financial Analysis and controlling expenses within budget
Other duties as assigned. The employee may be assigned other duties within the area of their competence to meet business needs.
What you will bring along
Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years management / leadership experience
Experience within mining or construction industry with strong exposure to Underground Drills
University Business qualification and / or Engineering (or equivalent) graduate qualification
Commercially astute with demonstrated business acumen and an in-depth understating of customer business processes
Strong technical sales management skills
Strong influencing / persuasive ability
Experience in the compilation of Tenders
Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate at a senior level
Ability to see the big picture and think strategically
Superior customer relations skills
Ability to manage business risk
Ability to work and manage cross-cultural teams, and work across boundaries
