Description

The Municipal Reporting System project will replace an unsustainable workflow currently dependent on six massive Excel spreadsheets, each containing hundreds of columns. These spreadsheets are used to manage municipal assets, track year‑over‑year asset growth percentages, and consolidate critical operational data. This setup is high‑risk, inefficient, and fragile, relying on a single individual to maintain and operate it—creating both capacity issues and significant organizational vulnerability. We need a Business Analyst who is not afraid to challenge the status quo, streamline complex data processes, and design actionable, scalable solutions. This individual will assess current workflows, lead requirements gathering with stakeholders, and recommend a clear strategy to migrate from Excel dependency to a robust, Microsoft‑based database environment (such as SQL Server, Dataverse, or Power Platform). The BA will play a pivotal role in shaping a modern, secure, and sustainable reporting system that can support operational needs for years to come.
