As Business Development Representative, you will engage with customers to better understand their valve applications and operating issues and promote their line-up of Engineered valve products and brands in order to find the best fit and solution, based on the customer’s needs.
This position is a hybrid position with the majority being work-from-home but you will have to :
Travel once weekly in Southwestern Ontario (between Mississauga and Windsor)
Travel once monthly to our Scarborough office
Responsibilities include, and are not limited to :
Grow company sales by sourcing, engaging and developing relationships with potential customers in specific industries such as oil and gas, power generation, pipeline, petrochemical and other industrial processes.
Account coverage will include visits to field facilities, head offices, and EPC’s with active projects.
Perform project takeoff, prepare quotations and tenders, prepare and issue submittals.
Negotiate and close project quotations within profitability guidelines.
Participation in continuous learning and product understanding sessions
Understand, and remain current with, both industry and local codes and regulations, and market trends, to ensure we comply and can capitalize on opportunities.
Maintain an understanding of the competitors product offering
Plan and implement new product introductions to the market.
The ideal candidate for this position will have :
3+ years experience selling technical industrial products, preferably related to valves
Post Secondary education related to engineering or technical training and understanding of industrial processes
A team based work attitude
