Owens Corning Glass Reinforcements is a business unit of Owens Corning that is in the acquisition sign to close process.

Owens Corning has signed an agreement to sell Glass Reinforcements to the Praana Group.

The deal is expected to close early 2026.

The business operates in twenty (20+) locations across the globe.

This role will play a critical leadership role during a dynamic period of change, ensuring continuity, compliance, and clear communication for employees at the site.

Reports to: Human Resources Director, Americas & Global Operations Support Job Responsibilities Strategic HR Partner: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Plant Leader and leadership team, aligning people strategies with business goals and operational priorities.

HR Strategy & Execution: Lead and execute core HR strategies that strengthen talent capability, performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Talent & Organization Management: Support leaders with organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, employee development, and performance management across the full employee lifecycle.

Employee Relations & Labor Relations: Lead employee relations activities in a unionized manufacturing environment, including contract administration, grievance resolution, and partnership on labour negotiations and arbitrations.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processes, compensation programs, benefits administration, and statutory leave programs, ensuring accurate delivery, employee support, and compliance with Canadian and provincial requirements.

Training & Development: Identify training needs, support leaders in defining and implementing training and development programs, and serve as the plant T&D Leader at the plant.

HR Metrics & Cost Management: Monitor HR metrics, labour costs, and workforce trends; support budgeting, labour cost analysis, and data‑driven decision making.

Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with Canadian labour laws, union agreements, and all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, partnering with EHS and operations on OHSA compliance, WSIB programs, return-to-work processes, and workplace safety governance.

Change Management & Communication: Partner with site leadership to lead workforce communications and change management initiatives, ensuring alignment with Canadian legal and cultural requirements during periods of transition.

Job Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of Canadian and Ontario labor and employment legislation Experience supporting a unionized workforce; labor negotiations experience preferred Demonstrated experience in strategic HR partnership and team leadership Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills Proficiency with ADP, HR systems, and Microsoft Office tools PREFFERED EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field HR certification (e.g., CPHR, CHRP, CHRL, CHRE ) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES : Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices across talent, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance Strong change management and organizational development capability Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving manufacturing environment High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information Strong collaboration skills and resilience under pressure Powered by JazzHR
