Kiwanis Nursing Home is a compassionate, resident-centered nursing home dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a supportive, home-like environment. By joining us, you will be joining approximately 150 other caring and amazing staff members in our 100-bed home in Sussex.

We are currently seeking casual Registered Nurses

Our team consists of a dynamic group of RNs, LPNs, RAs (PSWs), Environmental Services, and Dietary staff members, who are committed to providing the highest quality of living in a safe and home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB)
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of human wellness / illness and has the ability to apply that knowledge.
• Demonstrates leadership, effective communication, and interpersonal skills while communicating with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Demonstrates the ability to make decisions based on critical thinking and provide guidance for team members.
• Demonstrates the ability to embrace a comprehensive, holistic approach to care
• Experience in Geriatrics is considered an asset.
• Physically and mentally capable of performing assigned duties.
• Flexibility to work all types of shifts available (days, evenings, nights). Must be available to pick up shifts on short notice.
• In the absence of the Administrator or Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility, authority and accountability for residents, staff and the facility.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical, vulnerable sector check, and Department of Social Development background check as a condition of employment.

Student Loan Forgiveness : Kiwanis Nursing Home is located in a community designated for Canada Student Loan forgiveness, and you may be eligible for up to $20,000 in loan forgiveness if you meet Canada Student Loan requirements (you must apply separately).
