Job descriptionYou have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve. Highly motivated and have the ability to multi-task. Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days and Saturdays. Manual / heavy labour (up to 50lbs) on a repetitive and regular basis. Previous lumber / hardware experience would be an asset but is not required. You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a full time (40 hours per week) Hardware Sales Clerk at our Home and Building (HABS) location in ThePas, MB.

What you’ll do :
The successful candidate is responsible for delivering excellent customer experiences in alignment with Swan Valley Co-op’s guiding statements; merchandising and displaying product; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards. Core duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Operate a cash register and point of sale system, and assist with daily cash audits when necessary.
- Perform all duties associated with inventory stocking, including receiving and assisting with inventory counts when required.
- May participate in ordering product.
- Mix paint as required and make product recommendations.
- Maintain shelf and display stock and organize all goods intended for sale to meet established standards.
