Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Manager, Energy Centre, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for : performing preventive and corrective maintenance as per work orders to Hospital equipment and systems; performing the operation and maintenance of building essential services, equipment and systems both mechanical and electrical as applicable; functioning as an assistant to the Shift Engineer in the Energy Centre and participating in the operation of high voltage electric and gas / oil fired boilers, centrifugal refrigeration compressors and related equipment in accordance with the regulations of the Power Engineers' Act; operating the building HVAC automation systems; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Three (3) years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and other related equipment and systems.
