We are looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our growing team in Halifax! You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant infrastructure projects. We are thrilled to have contributed to local projects like the MacKay Bridge, Macdonald Bridge, Seal Island Bridge, and many more in Canada, the U.S., and worldwide.
You will plan and develop engineering projects, such as inspections, evaluations, rehabilitations, and designs of bridge structures. In addition, you will be responsible for defining the scope and selection of problems for investigation, developing concepts and approaches, and making key technical decisions. You will not only be given opportunities to grow your level of responsibility but also your skills.
Your key responsibilities will be to :
- Supervise and coordinate teams of engineers and technicians, including reviewing the work produced and mentoring junior staff toward their professional development
- Perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation and be responsible for the preparation of calculations, drawings, work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes along with engineering reports and other technical documents
- Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact
- Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed
