The Production Worker is responsible for operating the foam production machines, perform equipment maintenance and understand technical drawings within a manufacturing plant. This may involve moving and/or lifting items, unpacking, packing, sorting, etc.

Pay: $19.00/hr

Location: Nisku, AB

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Duties

• Operate and monitor foam production machines like Skiver, Band saw, Laminators and Punch Press.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on foam production equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Cut foam boards according to drawing and requirements from each job order.
• Fuse foam together and fit it into transport cases.
• Maintain detailed records of production data, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
• Checking the quality of all foam products that have been produced to meet customer specifications
• Assist with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products as needed.
• Clean work areas and equipment
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Perform other labour-related activities

Requirements

• Accuracy in following instructions and eager to learn
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Efficient job task planning and organizing
• Ability to read blue prints/drawings
• Attention to detail
• Ability to focus on tasks to completion
• Strong knowledge English to communicate with supervisors and read directions and drawing
