As a Tooling Engineer , you'll be responsible for defining tooling requirements, managing mold design reviews, and overseeing the build schedule from design to tool buy-off.

Key Responsibilities Analyze technical data (drawings, data, sketches, etc.) and provide feedback on manufacturability of products.
Create mold specifications and support tool shop selection and mold build discussions.
Attend weekly customer meetings and ensure tooling meets internal and external standards.
Manage tool shops to ensure tools progress on schedule and attend tool trials.
Troubleshoot issues with the manufacturing plant tooling team.
Negotiate tooling costs to meet customer budgets in a timely manner.
Provide technical support across departments and act as a communication lead between internal and external stakeholders.
Capture lessons learned and apply to future projects for continuous improvement.
Requirements Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in injection mold design / mold tooling.
Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing demands.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience communicating with cross-functional teams.
Valid driver’s license.
Nice-to-Haves Mold design / mold maker apprenticeship considered an asset.
Automotive industry experience.
Moldflow certification is a strong asset.
Familiarity with CAE, CAD, and DFM tools.
