One of our leading clients, a midstream oil and gas company, dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to the success of their operations.
Your Role :
As an Electrical Engineer , you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems that support our midstream oil and gas operations. With a focus on substations, power distribution, and electrical infrastructure, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our facilities. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the oil and gas or energy sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems for midstream oil and gas facilities, including substations, power distribution networks, and motor control centers.
- Develop and review electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Conduct power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies, to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Specify and select electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and protective relays, for new projects and system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the commissioning and startup of new electrical systems and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE, API).
- Provide technical expertise and support for capital projects, from conceptual design to execution and commissioning.
- Monitor and analyze electrical system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
