We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our efforts in expanding the adoption of biological pest control solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and identifying new market opportunities. Your expertise will contribute to promoting sustainable agriculture by helping growers reduce their reliance on chemical pesticides and implement innovative pest management strategies.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a passion for agriculture or sustainability, and the ability to translate complex solutions into clear value propositions for clients. You will play a pivotal role in positioning our company as a leader in the biological pest control industry in Canada.Key Responsibilities : Build a strong, educated, organized, focused, sales team. Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.Motivate and guide the team to achieve sales goals and maintain strong customer relationships.Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching.Develop and implement sales plans and strategies tailored to the biological pest control market.Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive products.Expand market share by targeting new regions, crop types, or agricultural segments Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, agronomists, and other stakeholders.Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing tailored solutions for pest control challenges.Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring high satisfaction.Develop a deep understanding of biological control products (e.g., predatory insects, nematodes, pheromone traps).Train and educate customers and sales teams on product benefits, usage, and integration into pest management programs.Represent the company at agricultural fairs, conferences, and field demonstrations.Suggest products and suppliers to complement BioBee's product portfolio with third-party suppliersWork closely with the R&D, marketing, and production teams to align sales efforts with product development and availability.Provide feedback from the market to influence future product innovations or improvements.Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.Manage sales budgets, including travel and promotional expenses.Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management.Partner with organizations and initiatives that support sustainable and organic farming practices.Ensure all sales activities comply with local and international regulations for biological pest control products.Assist customers in troubleshooting issues related to pest infestations or product application.Required Skills / Experience :
- Minimum five years of experience and proven success in managing a sales organization of at least 5 sales representatives. – MUST.
- Proven experience in sales planning, forecasting, and achieving sales goals.
- Strong negotiation abilities to secure deals with farmers, distributors, and agribusinesses.
- Previous experience in agricultural sectors is a plus
- Competence in using CRM / Analytical tools and analyzing sales data to optimize performance.
- Experience in closing sales while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage a geographically dispersed team.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment entrepreneurial organization with changing customer needs and market conditions.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up-to 40% of the time
- Understanding of pricing strategies and market analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
