Job description

We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Account Specialist who is passionate about paid social media advertising and ready to take the next step in their account management career. Account Specialists play a key role in supporting the account management team in delivering best-in-class media strategies and campaign execution for our clients. This client-facing role is ideal for someone eager to build strong client relationships, own campaign execution with growing independence, and gain hands-on experience working with high-profile brands and cross-functional teams.

What Will You Do:

  • Own the setup, execution, and optimization of paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and other digital platforms, maintaining quality assurance across all campaign builds, ads, targeting, and tracking to deliver error-free work with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact, delivering clear, professional communications with the right level of context for the audience
  • Monitor campaign pacing, performance, and budgets to ensure delivery aligns with client goals and KPIs, and make informed optimization recommendations in partnership with managers
  • Interpret campaign data, connect performance trends to KPI impact, and surface preliminary insights and considerations for optimization
  • Contribute to weekly and end-of-campaign reporting, translating data into actionable takeaways for clients and internal teams
  • Support basic performance tracking and testing methodology, including A/B tests and measurement frameworks
  • Independently troubleshoot common campaign and platform issues, offering solutions that improve day-to-day work and escalating complex challenges when needed
  • Research industry trends, platform updates, and competitive insights to inform campaign strategy and optimizations
  • Share relevant agency resources (blogs, newsletters, case studies) with clients and teammates as appropriate
  • Actively support teammates by sharing workload, knowledge, and best practices

Requirements

Experience & Education

  • 2+ years of experience in paid media, social media advertising, digital marketing, or related agency work
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (preferred)

Platform Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with major ad platforms including Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads Manager, and Google Ads (YouTube); bonus exposure to Reddit, Nextdoor, or other emerging platforms
  • Active certification in at least one core platform (or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days), with a commitment to pursuing additional certifications as client mix evolves or to support agency badging requirements
  • Ability to articulate how platform features connect to campaign goals
  • Strong command of campaign QA, trafficking, targeting, tracking parameters (UTMs), A/B testing, and automated rules

Marketing & Analytics Proficiency

  • Solid understanding of full-funnel marketing strategy and KPIs such as ROAS, CPM, CPA, CPC, CTR, and CPS
  • Proficient in data interpretation — able to read campaign performance reports and connect trends to KPI impact
  • Understanding of performance tracking and testing methodology
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets (including formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables)

Communication & Professionalism

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor context to the audience — from internal teams to clients
  • Demonstrates reliability and professionalism in all interactions with peers and clients
  • Provides respectful, constructive input to peers while staying focused on solutions
  • Recognizes when emotions influence discussions and responds calmly

Problem-Solving & Innovation

  • Independently troubleshoots common issues and offers solutions that improve day-to-day work
  • Seeks input when challenges are complex and contributes ideas to optimize processes
  • Organizational Strength & Time Management
  • Independently balances multiple tasks and competing priorities, meeting deadlines with accuracy
  • Adjusts priorities quickly when client or business needs shift
  • High degree of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail

Tool Proficiency & Creative Support

  • Familiar with project management and creative tools such as Slack, Asana, Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Canva
  • Capable of organizing, formatting, and presenting data in a visually compelling way

Initiative & Growth Mindset

  • Adapts quickly when priorities shift and helps peers reprioritize when needed
  • Facilitates productive collaboration across teams and shares information proactively
  • Reliably follows through on commitments and quality standards
  • Maintains a ready-to-learn mindset; seeks out feedback and applies it constructively
  • Understands agency offerings well enough to contextualize them within a client's goals

Benefits

At Trevant, we celebrate successes, value teamwork, and foster a vibrant, inclusive culture. In addition to offering the opportunity to work with a rapidly growing creator performance marketing agency, we provide:

  • Competitive compensation packages
  • Career advancement and professional development opportunities
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching
