Apply Now Posting Number : STUDENT -25-07 Job Type : Student, Temporary-Full-time, up to 4 Months, Non-Union Salary Range : $17.75 to $22.98 per hour Location : Barrie, ON - Onsite (see below for more details) Posted : Friday, January 17, 2025 Application Deadline : Friday, February 07, 2025 at 11 : 59 pm The Opportunity Corporate Facilities provides the City of Barrie with expertise in four key service areas : facility planning, design and construction; maintenance and property management, facility asset management and energy management. As a Centre of Excellence for a large and complex inventory of physical assets, the department comprises all the necessary functions and lines of business to ensure the full life-cycle management of the City of Barrie's facility and property portfolios. Under the general guidance and direction of the Facility Supervisor, the Marina & Waterfront Facility Attendant (PT) position is broken down into 3 key roles. These roles work together to maintain a high standard for customer service at all waterfront parks facilities and marinas :
- Day-time Marina Attendant front-line support to visitors of the City’s marina facility. Specifically, this position responds to inquiries, questions and concerns from marina customers, the general-public and City employees regarding marina services. Additionally, this position facilitates the boat slip rental process, the gas dock storefront and boat launch, and assist larger vessels in docking. Furthermore, this position maintains the marina grounds and facility. Overall, this position plays an integral role in the daily operations of the City’s marina facilities.
- Night-time Marina Attendant front-line support to visitor of the City’s marina facilities. Specifically, this position responds to inquiries, questions and concerns from marina customers, and the general public regarding marina services after day time hours. Additional to the day-time Attendant roles, the night-time attendant would support night security of both marina’s, completing dock walks, assisting boaters late arrivals, and performing basic security checks. Overall, this position plays an integral role in the night security of the City’s marina facilities.
- Day-time Waterfront Facility Attendant maintains the cleanliness of our multiple waterfront parks facilities. Specifically, this position travels throughout the city daily to uphold cleanliness of the waterfront washrooms, provide any supplies as needed, Removing Graffiti, assist with any concerns from the General pubic, and assists in maintaining the grounds. Overall, this position plays an integral role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness the City of Barrie requires for its public spaces.
