destinationone Consulting is exclusively working with Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver on a search for a Philanthropy Manager.
Location : New Westminster
Hours : 40 hours / week
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 08 : 30am-5 : 00pm
Salary : $85,000-90,000 P / A

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver (EFry) is a charitable organization that supports women, girls, and children at risk, involved in or affected by the justice system. Their programs work to break the cycle of poverty, addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and crime.
The Philanthropy Manager is a full time role reporting to the CEO and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Manager of Philanthropy at the EFry Society of Greater Vancouver will lead efforts to secure long-term financial sustainability by fostering relationships with external stakeholders and donors, as well as maintain current partnerships. This position provides leadership in meeting the organization’s goal of supporting criminalized and marginalized women, girls, and children in achieving their potential. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader from the non-profit sector, skilled in developing and executing a funding strategy that diversifies revenue streams through individual and corporate donations, grants, and partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Identify, cultivate, and engage corporate and individual donors, securing funds through sponsorships, cause marketing, and employee giving initiatives.
- Develop customized proposals and presentations to generate fundraising opportunities and expand corporate philanthropy.
- Manage an active portfolio, focusing on relationships with donors contributing $10K and above.
- Lead the implementation of a donor engagement, retention, and expansion program in collaboration with EFry’s Fund Development Committee.
- Maintain a donor and fund development database, ensuring accountability and reporting capabilities in line with charitable organization standards.
- Increase formal agreements with funders and develop relationships with government agencies, foundations, corporations, and community partners.
- Oversee fundraising events, managing timelines and logistics alongside the CEO and Fund Development Committee.
- Create and maintain an annual grant submission calendar and budget, collaborating with the Managing Director of Programs and the CFAO.
- Track fundraising activities and report progress using Key Performance Indicators related to donor engagement and revenue generation.
- Communicate regularly with donors through various channels, including in-person meetings, virtual engagements, and written communications.
- Facilitate team development through recruitment, training, and performance management of department staff.
- Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities and donor engagement.
