Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer ( Derivatives ) for a Contract position with a client located in Montreal QC (Hybrid). Ideally, The successful candidate will have strong experience in CORE Java threading, Concurrent Programming with Data structures. and Event management using MQ / Kafka On Derivatives and Clearing domain in Capital markets . The preferred candidate in large Canadian Banking / Financial Enterprise clients.

Position : Java Full Stack Developer ( Derivatives )

Location : Montreal QC- Onsite

Contract

Development of Event management application using CORE Java threading, Concurrent Programming with Data structures.

Db2, Sybase, MongoDB data extractions / updations.

Event management using MQ / Kafka.

On Derivatives and Clearing domain in Capital markets

Java Server Side Concurrent Programming with Spring Boot ( Core Spring), Junit-Strong in Java threads (Multi threaded env )

RDBMS Sybase and / or DB2 is preferable, with a proficiency in writing complex SQL queries

Unix / Linux scripting (Shell)- Good Problem solving and analytical skills

Full software development lifecycle understanding

Good software development practices

Excellent oral and written communication skills

An interest to learn the business supported by the applications

Understanding of message based architectures (MQ / Kafka)

MongoDB

Knowledge of the Equity Derivative business

Experience with cloud offerings (Azure / AWS)
