Description
Accountable for planning, advising and completing audits of all types (key risk audits, defined procedures, project risk reviews and other special projects) and the delivery of high quality, professional, efficient, beneficial and risk-based audit services to assigned areas of the Company. The Senior Manager may have direct responsibility for one or more projects at the same time and may perform hands-on audit work to complete the project. Additionally, the Senior Manager has a strong influence on the development of staff and senior auditors. The Sr. Manager will specialize in a Bank Audits.
Individual Accountabilities :
- Build effective relationships with management in assigned areas.
- Plan and lead audit projects reporting to the Director and AVP on progress.
- Lead projects within time budgets and target dates, reporting any timing problems or budget variances to Director and AVP.
- Understand the risks being managed by business unit; develop risk management objectives and audit programs to evaluate these risks.
- Lead audit staff assisting on projects and review completed files to ensure quality of work completed, and adherence to department and IIA standards.
- Prepare audit reports, including executive summary and rating of adequacy of risk management, making practical and value-added recommendations to improve risk management practices; audits reports are to be clear, concise and well-organized, and issued within departmental service standards.
- Present findings and recommendations to business unit management; resolve contentious issues and reach agreement on appropriate solutions
- Follow-up on and track open audit issues until resolved.
- Provide on the job training and feedback to staff assisting on assignments and contribute to their development and performance appraisals.
- Use technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit process.
- Coordinate work required to support external auditors.

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Waterloo, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
78,975.00 CAD - $142,155.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
