Description

:

Company Overview -

YESCO is North America’s largest sign company, with over 100 years of experience designing, manufacturing, and installing some of the world’s most iconic signs, including the legendary “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. As a family-owned business, our legacy is built on craftsmanship, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Our employees are industry leaders who value teamwork, creativity, and delivering exceptional quality to our customers. At YESCO, you’ll find a supportive environment where your skills are recognized, and your contributions help shape the future of our industry.

General Purpose -

The Night Patrol Specialist is the tip of the YESCO business model. It ensures the visibility and functionality of signs and lights for our customers by patrolling assigned routes, identifying maintenance needs, and communicating back. This role is essential in upholding YESCO’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

A Day in the Life -

As a Night Patrol Specialist, your shift begins under the late evening sky. You’ll drive through assigned routes carefully inspecting signs and commercial lighting for outages, damages, or other issues. Equipped with mobile technology, you’ll document findings which will then be submitted through an app. Your role is independent yet impactful, with a focus on ensuring our customers’ signage lights up the night.

Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Operate a vehicle to patrol a predetermined route within a set geographic area.
  • Follow all safe driving protocols and practice defensive driving.
  • Use a personal or company-provided vehicle (if applicable) to perform duties.
  • Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of the company vehicle, if applicable.
  • Plan and execute efficient travel routes for maximum coverage and time management.
  • Survey assigned routes to identify and document sign and lighting issues, such as outages, damage, or malfunctions.
  • Photograph and document findings using mobile tools and software.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and mileage driven.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with management and team members.
  • Create diagrams, maps or instructions to help technicians locate outages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications -

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/training (preferred but not required).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to regularly access and drive a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to enter and exit a vehicle frequently without assistance.
  • Proficient in map reading and geographic navigation.
  • Comfortable working independently during nighttime hours.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, track mileage and log activities.
  • Familiarity with signage maintenance or lighting systems (preferred but not required).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report sign and lighting issues.
  • Visual acuity for inspecting details from distances of 50 feet or more, day or night.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence, via text, email and hand written memos.
  • Proficiency in basic technology, including mobile devices and reporting apps.
  • Ability to extend arms and use hands to operate mobile devices to take photos, communicate and enter data frequently.

Compliance Statement –

YESCO is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace. All applicants must pass a pre-hire drug test before receiving an official job offer. YESCO is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) employer. All qualified applicants will receive fair consideration regardless of race, gender, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
