What to expect as an Apprentice Technician?

Primary responsibilities include :

Identify performance problems while using the diagnostic equipment and advising the customers and customer-facing associates on the work performed, general vehicle condition, and future suggested maintenance schedules and repair requirements.

Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, lubrications, and tune ups.

Ensure a safe workplace by adhering to all “work safe” protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and your coworkers.

Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.

Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.

Pride in the work you've done keeping your customers safe and, on the road, site or field!

What is it like working at Fountain Tire?

In this role you can expect to be frequently lifting weights of approximately 25KG – this ability is required.

Up for a challenge? At times the work can be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold and even windy.

This role will have you crouching, standing, or kneeling on a regular basis.

What does it take to get on track?

To be considered for this role we need you to be at least a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Licensed Automotive Service Technician, preference will be given to those with a Red Seal designation.

We need you to have a valid driver’s license permitting the independent operation of a passenger vehicle.

You must be able to provide a satisfactory drivers abstract, ensuring you are safe on the road.
