With a long history of keeping roads safe and giving back in ways that build stronger communities, we offer a wide variety of meaningful, rewarding careers that move BC forward.

We are currently hiring a Regular Full-Time Red Seal Automotive Technician based in our Victoria Automotive Service Centre.

As a Red Seal Automotive Technician, you will manage any repair that comes to your location. You mentor other technicians and lead by example when it comes to safety, operational excellence and clear communication with Members and your BCAA team.

Who you are:

  • You’re analytical and a problem-solver.

  • You have excellent communication skills, especially when it comes to conveying technical information to Members.

  • A fast-paced environment, flexible hours and weekend work are no problem for you.

Once here, you will:

  • Complete all repairs to meet BCAA’s high standards for safety, performance and outstanding service to our Members.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with environmental standards, operational policies and procedures while ensuring equipment is in good working condition for your entire BCAA team.

  • Be proactive by staying current with advances in vehicle technology.

  • Work collaboratively with the Service Manager and other team members to ensure a seamless experience for our Members.

  • Assist and mentor apprentices and lube technicians to ensure repairs are accurate and complete.

What you bring:

  • Automotive Red Seal Certificate. Current and up-to-date training on automotive technologies with a focus on OBD-II courses.

  • Three-years of experience as a Journeyperson Technician.

  • Clean BC Driver License Class 5 or better.

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kg), bend, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with Automotive DMS systems and modern scan tools.

What we offer:

  • The chance to make a difference every day in the lives of British Columbians, BCAA Members and our communities.

  • Career and personal development to help you grow and reach your goals.

  • Incentives that recognize team and individual sales and performance.

  • Flexible benefits to support your health and lifestyle, and wellness dollars* to keep your body, mind and soul thriving.

  • A competitive rewards package including salary performance bonus programs, pension plan*, and more to help build your personal wealth.

  • Paid time off including vacation, and days for wellness, volunteering, and cultural, spiritual or religious connection.

  • BCAA membership, with valuable perks and Member savings on every day and special spending, from gas and coffee to clothes, sports and event tickets, and hotels.

  • Meaningful, rewarding work for a BC Top Employer known for putting people first and constantly building a better workplace for all our team members.
