Detailed Job Description
Test Services Expected :
- Characterization of RF and EE systems
- Characterization of WiFi modules and RF front ends (RFFE)
- Ensure they are within spec, power consumption, and thermal measurements
- Product and alternative modules
- Characterization of antennas
- Antenna chambers
- Mock-up tests
- Crossbody attenuation
- Matching
- Characterization of Desense
- Perform Desense testing through PER measurements and aggressors in the system
- Highlight known issues and provide feedback
- Characterization of EMI / EMC system level testing
- Perform investigations into underlying issues and the aggressors in the system
- Ensure that the product is within spec of international standards, and troubleshoot or offer solutions for remedying the issue
- Signaling and non-signaling testing
- Sensor performance validation
- Sensors include Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Light
- Device or component level performance testing
- Setting and realignment of KPIs for sensing technologies
- Development of testing procedures for sensors
- Factory test data analysis for RF, EE, Audio
- Validate test data from the factory
- Understand and improve on test procedures, data collection, limits
- Debug failures remotely with the factory engineering team
- Design automation software for testing
- Automated Test station setup and creation of them
- Python scripting for connection to test equipment and data to files

Qualifications :
This role requires a candidate with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and hands-on experience in a testing environment. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering testing and is proficient in using test equipment such as network analyzers, wireless protocol testers, spectrum analyzers, DC power supplies, and oscilloscopes. They are also familiar with test script software like Python, C#, and Matlab.
In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will have a background in hardware engineering test, validation, debug, and test automation. This includes rework capabilities, such as soldering small components and interpreting schematics and layouts. Experience with various RF and data protocols, including WiFi, Bluetooth, I2C, SPI, MIPI, and UART, is essential. An understanding of electronics manufacturing at scale, including assembly and test procedures and methods for yield improvement, is highly desirable.
