Summary

Required to prepare and protect surfaces and apply protective and decorative coatings and paint to aircraft and / or components in accordance with the highest industry and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Painter, as required shall clean and prepare surfaces using a variety of approved methods and shall prepare surfaces to ensure an aerodynamically smooth finish.
• Painter shall possess the necessary skills required to prepare and paint speed lines insignias and identifying characters on the aircraft.
• Aircraft Painter shall also be able to finish wood surfaces based on his / her expertise.
• Employees of this category can also be engaged in the inspection of components, parts, units, materials to ensure that they meet Transport Canada / F.A.A. / E.A.S. A, Company standards of airworthiness and may be required to go through an approved company apprenticeship program. In this capacity, they could also be responsible for the conformity of manufactured interior components and furnishings.
