Role Description

This is a full-time Associate Lawyer position located in Vancouver, BC. The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal advice in the areas of Business Law, Real Estate Law, Wills, Estates, and Family Trusts. The role will involve engaging with clients, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Wills / Estates and Family Trusts
• Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research, legal writing skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Litigation and negotiation experience
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active Bar membership in British Columbia
• Previous experience in a law firm specializing in the mentioned areas is a plus
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
• Daily tasks may include client consultations
• Drafting legal documents and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings and administrative hearings.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Attend court and settlement conferences as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and keep them informed about their cases.

Pay :  The willingness to build a client base and the confidence to do so are essential. Compensation is directly correlated to performance; this position is commission-based and offers flexibility and the potential for high earnings based on client billings.
