Heres how an Accountantfor our BC Regionoffice contributes to our team :

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting.
• Processes all accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provides project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as the need arises.
• Assists with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements.
• Prepares bank deposits and cash receipt entries.
• Responsible for review and setup of new vendors and vendor changes.
• Reconciles and records intercompany transactions and departmental reports.
• Assists with tax compliance and remittances.

Qualifications

High school diploma.

Bachelors degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.

Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred.

Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting.

Basic understanding of accounting principles including maintenance of ledgers and cash flows.

Exposure to project costing principles recoveries insurance and contract / subcontract requirements as related to accounting

Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms.

Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.

Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.

The salary for this role may be $55000 - $70000. Your salary which considers your unique qualifications and experience is just one component of the robust total rewards youll enjoy at PCL.
