POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the production departments with the Winnipeg facility. This position ensures both long- and short-term goals are achieved through the implementation and completion of both departmental and corporate goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Monitors the capacity of the production departments to ensure capacity both in equipment and resources to meet requirements as set out by the Master Schedule.
- Ensures operational KPI’s and OPEX are established, and objectives are met.
- Reports on departmental objectives and issues in Daily Operational Meetings.
- Monitors and promotes the Health and Safety programs and takes an active role in the elimination of hazardous conditions in developing a safer working environment.
- Maintains operational budgets for each production department, including obtaining and reviewing budget results with budget owners monthly, identifying deviations and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Ensures the production areas are following all safety, health, and environment requirements.
- Coordinates operating departments to ensure a continual follow of product to meet both internal and external requirements.
- Promotes Labour / Management relations through the settlement of issues and grievances.
- Participates and promotes in Lean manufacturing activities.
- Reports on departmental objectives and issues in Daily Operational Meetings.
