Job descriptionAssist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff. Supervise and motivate employees to perform at their best. Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback. Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts. Ensure the team delivers outstanding customer service. Handle customer complaints and issues professionally. Train staff on customer service best practices and product knowledge. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment. Assist in setting and achieving sales targets. Monitor and analyze sales performance and implement action plans for improvement. Execute promotional campaigns and suggest marketing strategies to increase sales. Ensure accurate cash handling and manage store funds. Oversee inventory levels and ensure stock is maintained at optimal levels. Conduct regular stock checks and manage discrepancies. Coordinate with the Store Manager and suppliers for stock replenishment. Maintain accurate records of inventory and sales. Ensure the store is visually appealing and adheres to brand standards. Implement visual merchandising plans and promotional displays. Monitor and adjust product placement to maximize sales. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain store security and safety standards. Oversee store opening and closing procedures. Prepare reports on sales, staff performance, and other operational metrics. Physical requirements : ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds, climb ladders if needed. Education : High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Experience : Minimum of 2 years retail management experience, preferably in footwear. Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software. Attributes : Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
