About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, MHA Planning and working in close collaboration with the Manager, Program Development, the Project Manager supports transformation and portfolio operations planning across the Mental Health and Addictions Program (MHAP) by overseeing large and / or complex projects comprised of dynamic and multi-disciplinary teams, from the design phase through to development, testing and implementation. The Project Manager works within a complex network of healthcare professionals and has a matrix reporting relationship within the MHAP. They additionally collaborate across programs as required and support processes related to project prioritization. Further, the Project Manager provides project management education, training and development opportunities to Mental Health and Addictions staff so that smaller, lower complexity projects can be managed by others.
The Project Manager is committed to a high standard of performance to best enable their assignments for success. They align their projects with Nova Scotia Health’s vision, mission, values and corporate strategy, and that of our partners. Among other things, they apply project management methodologies to : Enable project sponsors with visibility and control; Manage the timeline of deliverables and milestones; Oversee resources; Engage and collaborate with stakeholders; Document decisions and outcomes; and Monitor, summarize and communicate progress to various collaborators and levels of leadership.
This is a Provincial position utilizing a hybrid workplace model that combines working from home with working onsite. Candidates can live and work anywhere in the province, with travel required only as necessary. Travel to various sites across the province may be required
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following :
- Undergraduate degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in consultancy services within private or public industry, project management, programs and services.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) required
- Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, masters of business administration
- Equivalent education and experience will be given consideration
- Knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management methodologies
- Certified Health Executive (CHE) and / or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset
- Organizational change management certification an asset
- Project Management experience in a complex health care organizational environment preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in data analytics
- Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits
40.15- $50.19 hourly
