The Faculty of Arts is seeking qualified Contract Academic Staff (CAS) to teach the following courses taught in Departments of IWGI Visual Art at the Brandon University Campus for the Fall Session in Term 1. The course may be delivered in an online synchronous format but preference will be given to qualified candidates who will teach in-person.
Please apply by submitting a letter of application, a curriculum vitae and the names and contact information of three referees in a single pdf file in English to the Office of the Dean of Arts (see email below). The course will run based on sufficient enrollment and budgetary approval.
Qualifications : Applicants must have successful teaching experience and relevant expertise in the specified area. They will hold a Master’s Degree in a related field, and those holding a Ph.D. or who are at the ABD stage may be preferred. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential / traditional equivalency to the doctorate and are invited to contact the Chair of the Selection Committee on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials.
Salary : $7,857 per 3 credit hour course.
Application deadline : A review of applications will begin June 4, 2025, and the posting will remain open until the position(s) is filled.
Fall Term : September 3 to December 8, 2025.
32 : 151 ARTWORKS : AN OVERVIEW OF CONTEMPORARY ART PRACTICE – Wed. 6-9 pm
Artworks will expose students to a broad range of artistic practices through an introduction to artist workshops, studios, galleries, museums, VISUAL ART, IshKaabatens Waasa Gaa Inaabateg (32) 275 or art related businesses. Students will become aware of the tools, hazards, training requirements, and opportunities available to the practicing artist while learning to develop a vision for their own studies and practices. The course will include at least one regional field trip. This course will take place at sites both on and off campus.
