Your new role
As the property manager, you will ensure that all properties are managed appropriately in all aspects, including maintenance, leasing, staff management, customer service, risk management andpliance withernment andpany regulations and policies. Responsible for managing Superintendents, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and coverage during absences, while maintaining regularmunication regarding work orders, maintenance, and tenant matters. Oversee rental processes, suite inspections, renovations, and purchase orders, ensuring alignment withpany standards. Engage with tenants on leases, rent collection, and building updates, and conduct regular property inspections to rmend repairs or replacements. Source and present quotations for major work, manage purchase orders and invoices, and resolve escalated tenant issues inpliance with policies. Ensure fire safety checks, monitor utility usage, and handle insurance claims. Lead leasing and marketing efforts, assist with budget preparation, and manage financial obligations such as mortgage and tax payments for third-party properties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced (5+ years) Property Manager of residential andmercial properties, supported by a strong foundation in financial and budgetary management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi (considered an asset). Holds Health and Safety Training and Emergency First Aid certification, with a post-secondary education in Property Management and progress toward Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation viewed as advantageous. Demonstrates a solid understanding of industry standards and practices, and maintains access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license to support site visits and operational needs. You will possess the following traits : Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organizational skills,plemented by excellent written and verbalmunication and a proactive, customer service-oriented mindset. Brings a professional and articulate approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigateplex tenant and property management issues using sound judgment and resourcefulness. Possesses solid interpersonal skills and agility for conducting site inspections and building walkthroughs, along with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation such as the Residential Tenancy Act.
