Job description
Our valued public sector client is in need of an Enhanced Reliability cleared Senior Business Analyst to to support the implementation of the Assyst application.
Background :
Assyst is used across several service lines within the Department and to gather and document the existing end-user requirements and process flows for the current-state system. This will feed into testing, training and communications tools to be developed, with support from the Business Analyst, prior to completion of the implementation.
Responsibilities :
Identify and document current processes and functional requirements in the existing version
Engaging main stakeholders and / or user groups, in order to determine and document what functionality is currently in use and needs to be tested for the upgrade, within the scope of existing and currently used functionality and features.
Classifying functional requirements to identify critical processes and functionality that must be remain intact throughout and after the upgrade. This will require a BA to work with the end-user groups (approximately 15-20) to determine how they interact with the system, and any features, outputs, configuration, etc. that need to be present and functional after the upgrade.
Assess any changes to existing processes and functionality in the newly upgraded version :
Document data entry processes or user-interface changes resulting from the upgrade in order to identify what should be communicated to end-users leading up to the upgrade
Assess the degree of change and make recommendations to the Project Manager on the level of interaction and types of communication / training aids required to update the end-users.
Work with the Communications team to guide the messaging / content of the communications tools.
Provide input, and possibly assist with system testing, UAT current data-entry processes in the new version to identify any functionality that has changed to an extent that it no longer meets the end-user’s needs, or where they will need to use additional functionality or features in order to accomplish what they formerly did. Documenting work-arounds, and making recommendations where additional features or processes.
