As the AML Business Analyst, you will serve as the core translation engine between business stakeholders and technical execution teams. You will take ownership of understanding business needs, translating regulatory and risk detection requirements, and guiding tech and QA teams toward seamless implementation.
In a typical day, you will spend roughly 2 hours orchestrating initiatives in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, handling customer data securely, analyzing large datasets, and driving business acceptance testing (BAT) strategies to ensure long-term operational readiness in Run-the-Business (BAU) environments.

Responsibilities
Translate business and regulatory requirements into detailed functional specifications for technology and QA delivery teams.
Lead and manage Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) plans from a business use-case perspective, collaborating closely with BAT test leads.
Utilize SQL to query, map, interpret, and derive insights from large datasets while ensuring robust data governance.
Navigate data structures including ETL processes, data mapping, and data lineage to support platform integration.
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) across multiple business, tech, and data teams to drive small-to-midsize initiatives.
Facilitate daily collaboration sessions, bridging technical discussions into clear, simple business terms for stakeholders.
Ensure all implemented FCRM platform changes are tested, sustainable, and aligned with overall risk frameworks.

Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
Experience: 5–7 years of Business Analysis experience (open to exceptional candidates with fewer years).
Testing Leadership: Proven track record with Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), test plan design, and execution.
Data & Technical Skills:
Strong SQL capability to query and interpret complex datasets.
Hands-on understanding of ETL processes, data mapping, and data lineage.
Experience working alongside Data, Technology, and Data Governance teams.
Tooling: Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and core BA productivity tools.

Soft Skills:
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead end-to-end deliverables independently.
Superior interpersonal skills with a strong ability to translate technical jargon into straightforward business concepts.

Nice-to-Have Requirements
Direct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) domain experience.
Hands-on experience with Oracle ECM or other Transaction Monitoring platforms.
