Position : Mechanical DesignerLocation : Town of Mount Royal (4 days in office, 1 day remote)Salary : $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experiencePerks : Excellent benefits, retirement plan, parking, etc.Our client, a leading company in the heavy machinery sector specializing in the design and development of complex systems that support hydroelectric turbine operations, is seeking a qualified Mechanical Designer to join their engineering team.Key Responsibilities : - Develop detailed plans for the manufacturing and installation of equipment using advanced modeling software such as Inventor and AutoCAD.- Design systems incorporating available components, technical calculations, and previous designs to meet project requirements, standards, and specifications.- Inspect equipment and monitor manufacturing quality, preparing reports for any non-conformity issues.- Lead design teams on large-scale projects, distribute tasks, and ensure all designed components fit into the overall system.- Validate designs against health, safety, and environmental requirements.- Supervise on-site equipment assembly and commissioning to meet project deadlines and resolve technical obstacles.Qualifications : - DEC in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's degree not required).- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in the heavy industry (aluminum, cement, etc.).- Proficient in 3D modeling with Inventor and familiar with AutoCAD.- Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards and Microsoft Office suite.- Willingness to travel internationally and work in a multicultural environment.- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.Please send your resume in Word format to Maia Slivinschi at [email protected] A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
