Job descriptionResponsible for personal safety and the safety of those who are affected by your work. This includes but is not limited to : Completing all required and assigned HSE training to a satisfactory level. Participating in all HSE related activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing and assessment etc. Reporting any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stopping work if required. Engineering background with minimum 4 years’ experience in the maintenance of industrial / mechanical systems. Astute problem solver with ability to work independently. Good command of English language and clear communicator, both verbal and written. No criminal record and willingness to undergo background check as Airside Pass is required to access the system Possession of the following licenses will be considered an asset : Industrial Electrician 442A, Electrician Construction Maintenance 309A, and / or Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433A. Technical expertise related to automation and industrial systems Knowledge of automated car parks an advantage but not essential Salary is TBD 40 hour work week Medical Insurance

Job Summary
Lödige is a supplier of material handling systems. We are seeking a Service Technician for our Automated Cargo Handling System at Toronto Pearson YYZ Airport. The job role will include mechanical, electrical and PLC / software trouble shooting tasks (software training will be provided). The system support is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so evening and weekend work will form part of the shift roster. Responsibilities will mainly be located at Toronto Pearson YYZ Airport, but there may be required travel to additional work sites in the US.
Responsibilities
- Working on shift to perform scheduled preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubricating parts, inspecting components (sensors, motors, drive belts etc.) repair or replacement of parts where applicable etc.
- Respond to breakdowns as they occur, performing reactive maintenance and resolving system faults in a timely manner.
- Understand the system operation and troubleshoot issues for the customer’s Operations Team efficiently.
- Complete work order forms and write reports on fault resolution.
- Correspond with company’s 24 / 7 Help Desk based in Germany (in English language).
- In addition, may be required to support installation of new projects, or to perform maintenance on material handling systems in other parts of the Canada.
