Job Title: Airport Valet Attendant
Employment Type: Part-Time (Open Availability)
Location: Edmonton International Airport
Compensation: $20.00–$20.40 per hour
Requirements:
- Must have class 5 FULL DL
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
- Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)

The Spirit of the Role
Airport travel can be fast-paced and stressful. As an Airport Valet Attendant, your presence, communication, and efficiency help set the tone for a positive travel experience. You are often the first and last point of contact for passengers, making your professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver an elevated, guest-first experience to airport passengers and visitors
• Provide warm, professional greetings and farewells that ease travel stress
• Safely and efficiently park and retrieve vehicles in a high-volume airport environment
• Assist passengers with luggage and mobility needs as required
• Clearly communicate valet services, rates, and retrieval procedures
• Inspect vehicles upon arrival and document existing damage accurately
• Coordinate vehicle flow to maintain safety, efficiency, and curbside order
• Adhere to airport safety standards, traffic laws, and driving best practices
• Respond calmly and professionally to time-sensitive passenger needs
• Maintain a polished appearance that reflects airport hospitality standards
• Report safety concerns, incidents, or unusual activity promptly to leadership
Passenger Experience Focus
• Anticipate passenger needs and offer assistance proactively
• Communicate clearly, confidently, and compassionately in time-sensitive situations
• Help travelers feel welcome, cared for, and confident leaving their vehicle
• Represent both LAZ Parking and the airport with professionalism pride
• Contribute to a calm, organized curbside environment even during peak travel periods
Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (minimum 2 years driving experience)
• Clean driving record; ability to drive a manual transmission an asset
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Open availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience required
• Airport, valet, bell service, or luxury hospitality experience preferred
• Strong verbal communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic airport environment
Physical Requirements
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 22.5 kg (50 lbs)
• Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods during shifts
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift repeatedly throughout the day
