We are seeking an MRI Radiologist - Director of AI to lead and manage our ground truth generation efforts for AI model development and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a Board-Certified Radiologist who is passionate about both clinical radiology and AI, with strong leadership skills and experience in regulatory pathways for medical devices.

The role balances 25% clinical work (performing radiological reads) and 75% leadership and strategic development of ground truth generation initiatives . This position plays a key role in ensuring that the data used in our AI model development is accurate, standardized, and meets both AI development and regulatory requirements.

We are open to candidates located in the following regions : British Colombia, Ontario, California, Illinois, New York, Florida, Texas, Maryland, Minneapolis, Georgia, Massachusetts

Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people’s lives!

What You’ll Do

Leadership and Strategy :

  • Lead the development of AI ground truth generation processes, including data annotation and labeling, to support AI product development and regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA 510(k))
  • Ensure all ground truth generation processes are standardized, reproducible, and align with FDA regulatory standards and requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including radiologists, data scientists, and regulatory teams to ensure seamless development of AI models
  • Mentor and expand the team of radiologists, physicians, and clinical researchers working on data annotation and AI ground truth generation
  • Define and maintain data quality standards (labeling manuals) for AI training datasets, ensuring clinical relevance and accuracy through quality control
  • Develop internal training programs for the labeling team to ensure consistency and high standards across all AI ground truth generation efforts

Clinical Contribution :

  • Perform clinical reads (25% of the role), focusing on advanced imaging cases, contributing to both clinical practice and the quality of AI models
  • Regulatory and Compliance :

  • Oversee the preparation of clinical evidence and ground truth data for FDA and other regulatory body submissions
  • What You’ll Bring

  • Board-Certified Radiologist with a minimum of 3 years of clinical reading experience
  • Proven leadership experience, particularly in managing clinical teams or research departments focused on data annotation and AI
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards for medical devices (FDA, IDE, etc.) and experience with clinical trials
  • Experience with AI-driven diagnostics and data labeling for AI model development is a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across clinical, engineering, and regulatory teams
