Job description

Our Story & Purpose:

We’re Vancity, a member-owned credit union built on the principles of inclusion and social justice. Since 1946, our relentless commitment to these values has helped us challenge the status quo and break down barriers. We’ve made bold commitments to become net-zero by 2040 across all mortgages and loans, and we’re actively pursuing strategies in Indigenous banking and financial resilience for our members.

As the largest private sector Living Wage Employer in Canada, we’re proud to be consistently recognized as one of the country’s Top Employers. If you’re ready to join our team of 2,300 diverse individuals, access competitive rewards and benefits, and be part of a greater movement - apply today!

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Manager, Agile Delivery, you will play a critical leadership role in enabling meaningful member and business outcomes by building and leading a high-performing team of Scrum Masters and coaching cross-functional delivery pods. You will ensure consistent, effective agile delivery practices, strengthen delivery predictability and flow, navigate complex dependencies and risks, and continuously improve delivery performance while maintaining alignment with Vancity’s governance and delivery framework. We’re looking for a collaborative, experienced agile leader who thrives in complexity, builds trusted relationships, and is passionate about developing people and teams.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Delivery Practice. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position is for an existing vacancy and provides a remote work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Leading, recruiting, developing, and coaching a team of Scrum Masters supporting cross-functional agile pods
  • Coaching delivery teams and pod leaders to strengthen agile practices and increase member and business value
  • Managing cross-pod and external dependencies by identifying risks, assessing impacts, and communicating options to senior leaders
  • Upholding and embedding the Vancity Agile Delivery Methodology to ensure consistent ways of working
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with product, technology, and business leaders to influence delivery outcomes
  • Supporting the establishment and launch of new delivery pods, including scope clarification, backlog shaping, and delivery routines
  • Facilitating and modelling effective agile ceremonies through coaching and continuous improvement
  • Analyzing delivery metrics and health indicators to improve predictability, quality, flow, and time to market
  • Fostering a high-performing, inclusive team culture grounded in trust, accountability, and engagement
  • Navigating ambiguity across the portfolio and coaching others to clarify outcomes, success criteria, and use cases

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in agile delivery environments, with progressive leadership responsibility
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching and developing Scrum Masters or agile practitioners
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional agile teams within complex, regulated environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in agile delivery frameworks, coaching practices, and delivery governance
  • Proven ability to manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations across portfolios
  • Agile-related certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilist, ICAgile, or similar

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Experience working within enterprise portfolio or program delivery environments
  • Strong change management and organizational agility experience
  • Advanced experience using delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:

  • A people‑centric leader – you build trust, develop talent, and foster inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • An agile advocate – you model agile leadership and continuously improve ways of working.
  • A strategic collaborator – you influence outcomes through strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Comfortable with complexity – you navigate ambiguity and guide teams toward clarity and results.

We value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $116,500 to $143,850 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

A career at Vancity is more than just a job, you’re joining a tradition of change-makers who are creating lasting change for our communities. Beyond base pay, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package to ensure our employees are empowered to thrive:

  • Living Wage Employer: We’re the largest private-sector Living Wage Employer in Canada and consistently ranked among Canada’s Top Employers.
  • Customizable Benefits: Permanent employees receive flexible benefit packages that can be tailored annually to meet evolving needs.
  • Generous Vacation: New employees start with 3-4 weeks of vacation per year, with additional days earned over time.
  • Extra Stat Holidays: In addition to BC’s 11 statutory holidays, we offer 2 extra days, plus care days for personal or family illness.
  • Immediate Health Coverage: Health and dental benefits begin on your hire date, with three levels of coverage to choose from.
  • Defined Benefit Pension: Our retirement plan provides a guaranteed income for life, recognizing that retirement looks different for everyone.
