This is a fantastic small town practice, in a vibrant community in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. The clinic is seeking a family physician to replace the existing family physician who is retiring. There are currently two family practice nurses who provide support with vaccines, paps etc., as well as a nurse practitioner in the space. Located in the charming community of Hantsport, the incoming physician would take over a well-managed roster of approximately 1300 patients, the majority of whom are over 65. There is a dedicated office admin in this space as well. The clinic is owned by a pharmacy, and overhead is approximately $3500 a month. The incoming physician also will have the opportunity to participate in the after-hours clinic rotation at the West Hants Access Clinic (which can be part of their LFM contract). This clinic is managed by Nova Scotia Health with a dedicated Health Services Lead. This clinic could accommodate two physicians if there was an interest.
Responsibilities
Hantsport is a small but beautiful community located in the Annapolis Valley, on the banks of the Avon River. It is ideally located about 15 minutes outside of Windsor (home of the Hants Community Hospital) and 25 minutes from the Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. Hantsport is also approximately 45 minutes from Halifax. The community is known for its hospitality and is home to a variety of festivals, including one of the best known Canada Day Celebrations in the province.
