What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Senior Managing Director and Lead Portfolio Manager, Total Portfolio Solutions, the Analyst will join an innovative, client-focused team dedicated to delivering customized private market solutions. The successful candidate will leverage strong quantitative skills to support portfolio construction and optimization, contributing to the development and enhancement of the team’s quantitative and technological architecture through programming expertise. Responsibilities include participating in research initiatives, transforming new ideas into actionable solutions, automating key processes, and creating interactive dashboards to improve efficiency, monitor portfolios, and track financial markets. This role offers the opportunity to solve real investor challenges through tailored portfolio construction using Fiera’s investment platform.

Fiera Solutions team is Fiera’s client-centric, goal-driven portfolio management unit, leveraging a flexible and research-informed approach to design tailored multi-asset solutions and private market solutions. Working closely with clients, consultants, and our distribution team, we define return targets, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, investment horizons, and ESG constraints. We then build an investment universe spanning both public and private markets and construct optimal portfolios that reflect these parameters, drawing on the full breadth of strategies and implementation capabilities across the Fiera platform.

Your responsibilities:

• Design private markets solutions using the full breadth of our investment platform, while actively participating in the portfolio management activities of private markets feeder funds.

• Create and maintain databases and analytical tools, and conduct data extraction, cleaning, and analysis to support valuations, performance measurement, liquidity forecasting, and proprietary risk modeling.

• Assist the Fiera Private Markets Solutions team by monitoring investments and cash activities, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and managing the Private Markets Queue system.

• Research investment strategies, market trends, and total portfolio solutions. Maintain and enhance internal databases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.

• Automate processes and reporting to improve operational efficiency and create interactive dashboards for portfolio and market monitoring.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience;

• Graduated with a master’s degree in mathematics, Finance, or Financial Engineering, undergraduate degree in actuarial science

• Enrollment or completion of CFA Designation, CAIA, or Actuarial Designation is considered an asset;

• Prior experience or internship in a position related to investment, portfolio construction, private markets, performance analysis, or risk analysis;

• Great attention to detail, methodical approach to solving problems;

• Great understanding of quantitative methods, great programming and automation skills (Python, SQL, Power BI, VBA), and experience in organizing data;

• Presentation and communication skills (verbal and written), both in French and English;

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team;

• Acute interest in financial risk management and financial markets.
