Their mandate is to facilitate the development, sharing, and application of knowledge and expertise to eliminate racism and racial discrimination in Canadian society.With an organizational core value that supports diversity, and a strong commitment to fostering an environment of inclusion and cross-cultural sensitivity we encourage qualified applications from Indigenous people, racialized people, people with disabilities, people from gender and sexually diverse communities, and / or people with intersectional identities.In this role as Program Coordinator, you will develop and maintain relationships across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nunavut, conduct targeted outreach, monitor grants and sponsorships, and manage all programs and initiatives in the region (some travel will be required). This is a busy role with broad responsibilities and daily interactions with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally, including : Conducting, designing and implementing targeted outreach strategies, establishing contacts, and engaging with community groups focused on anti-racism and anti-hate.Grant monitoring and sponsorship support, ensuring compliance with agreements, negotiating amendments and making recommendations to ensure successful grant implementation, liaising with grantees, and timely submission of reports.Program management, organizing roundtables and conferences with local communities and governments, speaker engagement, and promotion of regional and national programs, workshops, and collaborations.Qualified candidates possess a demonstrated commitment to anti-racism, valuing diversity, and contributions to an inclusive working and learning environment, as well as possess a degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in social sciences, public policy, or related field with training in race relations, anti-racism, grant administration, and community building / engagement, and a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role.Remuneration : This is a permanent full-time, unionized position currently working in a hybrid model from your home office.
