There is an opening for an Accounting Clerk through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders / vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R). This is a short-term contract position located in the Aurora, Ontario area. Key responsibilities

Collaborate with Accounts Receivable : apply cash receipt, process daily invoices / credit, and help with collection of past due balance
Overall accounting : help with G / L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Help Accounts Payable : A / P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Post financial figures to journals and ledgers
Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

Job Requirements :

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

Proficiency in QuickBooks

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel experience

Adeptness in account reconciliation

Outstanding data entry skills

2+ years of relevant experience

Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

BS / BA in Accounting or related field preferred
