Job description

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative who is looking for a long-term career opportunity. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers—handling inquiries, preparing accurate quotes, and working closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Frontline Support

  • Answer and manage incoming calls and emails, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company’s values in every interaction
  • Resolve customer inquiries and route requests as needed

Quoting, Orders & Follow-Through

  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations and sales orders
  • Confirm pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery details
  • Proactively follow up on open quotes to drive sales and close opportunities
  • Discuss terms within guidelines and escalate exceptions when needed

Sales Development & Pipeline

  • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and support new business development
  • Pass qualified leads to the Outside Sales team
  • Recommend product alternatives and solutions to meet customer needs while maintaining margins

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Monitor order status and communicate updates proactively to customers
  • Assist with warehouse duties (picking, packing, order verification) as needed to meet service levels

Product Knowledge & Training

  • Develop strong knowledge of products and applications
  • Participate in ongoing training and supplier sessions

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, driven, and eager to grow within a company
  • Team player with a hands-on approach

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $55,000 annually
  • Incentive program eligibility after successful completion of probation
