Overview
We are looking to fill a permanent full-time position for an Accounting and Administrative Technician at our offices in Ville St-Laurent.
Reporting to the Corporate Controller - Accounting, your role will be to support and assist your manager in a range of functions by performing various administrative follow-ups and technical accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting department’s daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Produce, verify and post required adjusting entries to the general ledger.
- Account for, verify and analyze specific expenses incurred and validate the application of certain internal controls.
- Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations, prepare monthly, quarterly, annual or ad hoc reports and explain variances.
- Answer questions from the management team regarding reports produced.
- Prepare forms and related materials for various Canadian and U.S. government agencies while respecting deadlines.
- Manage the collection of documents and validate approvals, following up when necessary. Communicate results with operations teams.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and complete follow-up files.
- Manage the process of sending and receiving documents for certain control tests on the company\'s operational processes required under Bill 52-109 for public companies.
- Create and support employees in managing their expense accounts via an application.
- Perform all other related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.
